What Happened

India's Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued vulnerability note CIVN-2026-0535 on November 3, 2026, warning that several Adobe products require security updates. The Indian advisory assigns the combined alert a CRITICAL severity rating. It follows Adobe's own October 27 security bulletins covering Adobe Campaign Classic, Adobe Connect, Creative Cloud Desktop and Substance 3D Painter. The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security also issued a related Adobe security advisory on October 28. This is an update and vulnerability warning, not a report that an Adobe customer has suffered a breach.

Which Products Are Affected

For Adobe Campaign Classic v7, Adobe identifies version 7.4.4 build 9402 and earlier as affected on Windows and Linux, and recommends updating to build 9403 (APSB26-162). This bulletin includes critical code-injection, command-injection, SQL-injection, authorization and cross-site-scripting issues. Several Adobe Campaign Classic CVEs carry CVSS scores of 9.9. Severity and exploit conditions differ between individual vulnerabilities; operators should review Adobe's table rather than assuming a single attack method applies to every flaw.

For Adobe Connect Desktop, the affected versions include 2026.8.51 and earlier on Windows, 2026.08.45 and earlier on Apple Silicon Macs, and 2026.01.39 and earlier on Intel Macs. Adobe lists fixed desktop versions 2026.9.61 for Windows, 2026.10.66 for Mac Silicon and 2026.10.170 for Mac Intel. Its APSB26-182 bulletin also identifies Adobe Connect Mobile 4.4 and earlier on Android and lists version 4.5 as the fix. The Connect code-injection issue, CVE-2026-48360, is rated critical with a CVSS score of 9.6 and could allow arbitrary code execution under the conditions detailed by Adobe.

Adobe's Creative Cloud Desktop update addresses a separate Windows privilege-escalation weakness, CVE-2026-104349. Adobe lists version 6.10 and earlier as affected and version 6.11 as updated in APSB26-135. CERT-In provides a more specific fixed build threshold, 6.11.0.478.6. Organizations should verify the actual installed build against both the CERT-In note and Adobe's current release guidance instead of relying on the major version alone.

Adobe Substance 3D Painter versions 12.1.5 and earlier are affected on supported platforms. Adobe's APSB26-178 bulletin lists version 12.2 as the update. CVE-2026-48379 concerns a stack-based buffer overflow with potential arbitrary code execution, while CVE-2026-48380 is an out-of-bounds read that could expose memory. Adobe rates these issues high and medium respectively, even though CERT-In's consolidated vulnerability note has a critical overall rating.

What The Warnings Do And Do Not Establish

The consequences vary by product and configuration. Some Campaign Classic weaknesses may be remotely exploitable, whereas the published Creative Cloud Desktop issue is a local privilege-escalation problem requiring particular conditions. A single description such as 'remote attackers can take over all Adobe products' would misrepresent these distinct advisories. A vulnerability creates a potential path for exploitation; its publication is not itself evidence of an intrusion. In each of the four referenced bulletins, Adobe states that it was not aware of exploits in the wild for the issues addressed at the time of publication. No specific victim or confirmed exploitation of these particular fixes is established by the source documents reviewed here.

What Administrators And Users Should Do

First inventory relevant installations, including managed desktops, Adobe Connect clients and Adobe Campaign Classic servers. Compare exact application builds with the four Adobe bulletins and CERT-In's affected-product list. Deploy the vendor's supported fixes through established software-management channels, taking account of maintenance windows and business-critical Campaign Classic deployments. For managed Creative Cloud endpoints, Adobe points administrators to its Admin Console deployment workflow. For Connect, cover macOS, Windows and Android installations as appropriate. After rollout, verify updated versions rather than assuming a download or policy assignment completed successfully.

Security teams should apply ordinary defensive controls while patching: restrict administrative access to servers, limit unnecessary application privileges, maintain recent backups and watch application and authentication logs for anomalies. These are prudent risk-reduction measures, not indicators that exploitation is known to be occurring. Organizations should avoid circulating unverified exploit claims and rely on the vendor's current fixed-version information for remediation.

Source And Editorial Context

The original Adobe fixes were published October 27, 2026. Canada's Cyber Centre issued an additional notice on October 28, and CERT-In published its critical consolidated note on November 3. CyberGeek News has cross-checked the Indian note against the four individual Adobe security bulletins and the Canadian government notice. Adobe's product-specific priorities differ: Campaign Classic and Connect are priority 2; Creative Cloud Desktop and Substance 3D Painter are priority 3. These vendor priority numbers should not be confused with CERT-In's critical consolidated severity rating.
